Finnriver Farm & Cidery Announces Fall Equinox Opening Celebration at their New Taproom in the Tumwater Craft District Building

Come see their new space at: 4200 Capitol Blvd South Tumwater, WA for an Autumn Equinox Opening Celebration on September 22nd from 12-9 PM. Learn more on their website at: https://www.finnriver.com/tumwater

Finnriver Farm & Cidery, with its home base on a 50 acre organic farm on the Olympic Peninsula, is excited to announce the much-anticipated opening of their Finnriver Tumwater Taproom, bringing their mission-oriented, award-winning cider on tap to the South Puget Sound area and urban Craft District of Tumwater.

The Finnriver Tumwater taproom seeks to extend the rustically elegant and welcoming aesthetic of their Chimacum Cider Garden, as well as serve as a community gathering space that celebrates joyful connection. The new taproom will offer 16 taps with an array of Finnriver’s farmcrafted ciders on draft and several nonalcoholic options. In addition to cold pours of their diverse line-up of traditionally-inspired, seasonal and contemporary cider styles, the taproom will offer a full selection of bottled ciders available for purchase. Finnriver’s ciders are made with a foundation of Pacific Northwest Organic apples and pears, often blended with wild harvested and regionally-sourced botanical ingredients, and finished with various fermenting techniques such as blending, oak-aging, and souring among others.

Finnriver sees the Tumwater Taproom as an opportunity to continue nurturing their core mission: To celebrate the beauty and bounty of the Earth, to reconnect people to the land that sustains us, and to grow community. As a certified B-Corp (trying to make business as a force for good), salmon-safe farm, and mostly solar powered cidermaking facility, Finnriver strives to create deep-rooted and fruitful connections to the land they farm and to the living community as a whole. They are bringing these values to their new space and look forward to developing a sense of place and community in Tumwater.

Finnriver was on the forefront of the PNW craft cider renaissance and is excited to be growing new roots in Tumwater.

Finnriver is excited to share space in the new Craft District Building with businesses like SweetLee’s small batch homemade Ice Cream, who shares values of sourcing locally and connecting community. Famous for their big white and red ice cream food trucks, this will be SweetLee’s first brick and mortar location and new production facility. They will be joining in the fall equinox opening celebration with seasonal flavors featuring the freshest locally sourced ingredients.
