
The Olympia Yacht Club is staging its annal SEA Day and Environmental Awareness Day on Saturday, April 25.
A marine swap meet also will take place as a co-event. SEA Day runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. while the swap meet runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Breakfast sandwiches will be available for purchase.
The public is welcome to the events, which will take place in the OYC clubhouse and parking lot, located at 201 Simmons St. NW, next to Bayview Thriftway along Fourth Avenue in Olympia.
Boaters and those interested in the marine environment can enjoy kids events sponsored by the Puget Sound Estuary organization. marine exhibits, environmental information and safety checks and assorted freebees.
Those interested in participating in the free swap meet should contact Fran Williams (360) 584-2952 or franwil@comcast.net to sign up. Sellers should arrive between 8 and 9 a.m. to set up.
