In honor of Volcano Preparedness Month, join an interpretive ranger for a 2 pm presentation on the monumental eruption of Mount St. Helens on May 18, 1980. The talk will cover activity leading up to the eruption, events during the eruption, and the remarkable recovery process after. Also hear about the quirks of staffing a visitor center – it’s a blast working at an active volcano! Related crafts and activities all day.
