COVID-19 Safe Drive-Through Event at City Hall
The City of Tumwater is hosting its annual Clean-Up, Drop-Off event for
residents. Safely discard unused prescriptions and expired medications; shred personal, sensitive, or financial documents; and donate non-perishable food.
It’s fast, and it’s free.Stop by the Clean-up, Drop-off event, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Saturday, September 25, 2021. COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place for volunteers and visitors. Drive through the parking lot at Tumwater City Hall and remain in your vehicle. Volunteers will remove items from the trunk or back of a pick-up truck.
DISCARD Responsibly destroy unused prescriptions or old medications at Tumwater Police
Department’s Prescription DropBox.
SHRED Shred personal, sensitive, or financial documents to protect against identity theft at
the LeMay Mobile Shredding, sponsored by O Bee Credit Union. Limit 4 grocery-size
bags or banker boxes per vehicle.
DONATE Donate non-perishable food to help the Thurston County Food Bank support students in need.
Tumwater City Hall is located at 555 Israel Road in Tumwater. Vehicle entrance to the event will be from New Market Street SW, off of Israel Road SW.
Hazardous Materials Hazardous materials will not be accepted at this event. Hazohouse, located at the Thurston County Waste and Recovery Center at 2420 Hogum Bay Road NE in Lacey, will accept and properly dispose of chemicals and toxins. This is a free service for Thurston County residents.
