America250 Exhibit Series at the Schmidt House
An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until May 30, 2026
Join us this month as we celebrate America250 at Tumwater’s Schmidt House! A large number of local heritage groups are joining us at the Schmidt House with a wealth of displays and hands-on activities, for adults and kids alike!
We’re especially pleased to host two free concerts by the American Legion Band. This large band will play patriotic songs. Join us on May 16 and May 23 for a concert, then enjoy the displays inside the house. Admission to the concerts and the house is free.
Displays and participating groups include:
Old-fashioned kitchen tools: Daughters of the American Revolution
Patriotic-themed stamps and postal envelopes: Olympia Philatelic Society
Quilts of all eras: Tumwater Historical Association
Genealogy: Olympia Genealogical Society
Flags and other patriotic history: Sons of the American Revolution
Bald eagle ecology, USS Constitution: Olympia Tumwater Foundation
Fire department history: Firehouse 5

Jun 4—history talk by Sons of the American Revolution, noon
