The Olympia Yacht Club (OYC) invites the community to share in a beloved South Sound tradition: the 60th Annual Parade of Lighted Ships, a radiant procession of holiday‐themed vessels that has illuminated Budd Inlet every December since 1965.
This festive, family‐friendly event brings together boaters and spectators alike to celebrate the season with lights, music, and maritime cheer. In honor of its 60th anniversary, OYC is adding a special Dockside Display on Friday evening to kick off the weekend’s festivities.
Watch as a fleet of brilliantly illuminated vessels glides through Budd Inlet, spreading holiday sparkle across Olympia’s waterfront. The parade begins at Percival Landing and Port Plaza traveling north along the east side of Budd Inlet past Anthony’s Hearthfire Next it heads north to Boston Harbor, before looping back south along the west side—past Tugboat Annie’s, and then back to the Olympia Yacht Club.
