Washington Trafficking Prevention and Thurston County Coalition Against Trafficking both work with community partners to end human trafficking. Domestic minor sex trafficking happens every day in our community, and is a violence that targets young people including Black and indigenous youth and those with unmet needs for food, shelter, safety, financial security, and social supports. In Thurston County the need is great and our goal is to raise $25,000 so that we can support more prevention education and outreach here for youth, professionals, parents, and schools! All of our proceeds go for trafficking prevention and awareness training in the schools or with community organizations locally. This virtual 5K runs from April 24 to May 8th.
