Standing the test of time is always cause for celebration. This is especially true for American businesses, where more than 65% don’t survive to their 10th anniversary. Locally, Boggs Inspection Services is celebrating 22 years in the community, with employees who have been on their team for more than a decade.
If you need a residential or commercial inspection, Boggs can handle it. Over the years, they’ve watched Western Washington grow and helped countless families and small businesses find the perfect spot to call home.

Company Success and Employee Satisfaction Go Hand-in-Hand at Boggs Inspection Services
Dwayne Boggs built his company on a foundation of hard work and integrity. Today, he focuses on building a solid team and giving them plenty of opportunities to advance and shine.
One such longstanding employee is Inspector Manager George Green. Green joined the team in 2016 after searching for a career he “could stick with” for years to come. “Since I used Dwayne for my own personal home purchase the previous year, I knew his company focused on quality and customer service,” Green adds. “It was such a fascinating job, I couldn’t help myself and the rest is history.”
Green says the characteristics which originally caught his eye as a customer are truly the driving force behind their team’s success. “Attention to detail, quality service and the overall well-being of the clients are what make a company continue to thrive and last,” he explains. “From the front office to the inspectors, making sure our clients get what they want and deserve is the number one priority.”
Jon Mobly is a commercial and residential consultant who joined Boggs in 2016, the same year as George Green. Mobly agrees that their customer-focused mindset is key, especially when paired with “consistent and quality reports, help and support for our clients. I hope we will continue to offer our clients a friendly, helpful, informative look at their prospective home even as technology and the tools we use change.”

At Boggs Inspection Services, Happy Employees Produce Happy Customers
Like Dwayne Boggs, Green credits his fellow teammates for their longevity. “Our staff has such a wide range of experience both inside and outside the inspection field,” he says. “This includes customer service, landscaping, science labs, owning their own inspection company, in home care supervision, and even AmeriCorp volunteering. Having such a wide field of experience working with others in these different environments, I think, provides a strong base for helping others, communication and attention to detail.”
Though she may be their newest hire, Desiree Putman has already learned that the secret to their success “is a genuine commitment to customer service and relationships. Dwayne doesn’t just run the business from behind a desk – he’ll personally stop by inspections to check in with realtors, introduce himself to clients and even make follow-up phone calls after inspections to make sure everything went well. That level of personal connection is something you don’t see very often anymore, and I think it makes a lasting impression.”
Putman, like most of us, says she’s worked for companies that talk loftily about their family-like atmosphere and work-life balance. “But at Boggs they actually live those values,” she says. “I regularly get calls or texts just to see how my wife and daughter are doing or to make sure my schedule is working well for my family. It’s clear that I’m valued not just as an employee, but as a person, and that means a lot.”
Inspecting houses means seeing quite a lot, says Green. Over the years he’s inspected homes with literal dungeons – including iron doors and chains – and had family pets follow him everywhere wanting to help and play. “I’ve seen all kinds of amazing classic cars, memorabilia, hidden rooms and views only the lucky ones get to see. Every day is truly and adventure!”
Mobly knows that whatever site they’re called to inspect, there’s an inspection package to fit. “It seems that there has been a rise in auxiliary testing and information wanted,” he explains. This includes things like water sampling and air quality testing.

Join the Boggs Team for a Stable Career with Growth Potential and Amazing Views
If you’re looking for a career with long-term stability, consider joining the Boggs team. Dwayne Boggs says that no prior experience is needed and they’re always looking for the right people.
George Green agrees. “As market advantages shift between the buyer’s side and the listing’s side, the specific needs for an inspection can change dramatically. A strong buyer’s market generally means fewer inspections, but on the flip side, more listings get pre-inspections to entice buyers into a quick transaction. So, whether you’re buying or selling, Boggs is always there to help you through our little part of the process. My goal is to continue this as long as I can, not only helping my fellow Boggs family in any way I can, but also continuing to help others attain their dreams of homeownership without the worry of not knowing what they’re getting into.”
