The 2026 Shelton Art Walk is a full-day celebration on Saturday, July 25, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Part of the Downtown Shelton Creative District, this annual event celebrates art and creativity across our community. Experience the vibrant work of local artists and vendors—from paintings and sculpture to live performances and handmade goods. Stroll through downtown Shelton as participating businesses transform into pop-up galleries featuring visual art, installations, and demonstrations.
Visit the Art Market on Cota Street, featuring 40+ artists and makers and enjoy live music performances, and hands-on art activities throughout the day.
This year’s theme, “FROLIC!,” gives a nod to the historically creative spirit of Mason County. Long before Shelton’s creative scene took shape, Hood Canal was alive with something wilder. In the 1920s, Danish artist Orre Nobles turned a bluff near Union into Olympus Manor, a 16-room retreat where painters, poets, musicians and even a boxing champion gathered to make art… and a little trouble.
Creativity thrives when people play together. Just as Nobles turned a quiet corner of Mason County into something electric, the 2026 Shelton Art Walk invites you to explore, discover and revel in local creativity. So, wander the art alley, check out the vendors and the artist showcases, listen to some fabulous performances, grab a beer or glass of wine in the beer garden, stamp your passport and frolic a little!

There were many wonderful choices in the application process, this years’ fund recipient is Fallen Robin!

Local businesses transform into galleries, sidewalks come alive with music and demonstrations, and artists share their work directly with the community. Visitors can discover hidden gems, meet the makers behind the art, enjoy local food and drinks, and explore a historic downtown that’s buzzing with creativity. Whether you’re a lifelong local or visiting for the first time, the Shelton Art Walk is a celebration of the people, places, and artistic spirit that make Shelton such a special place to spend a summer afternoon.
