The Thurston County Food Bank will be expanding evening service hours to a second Wednesday evening each month beginning Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
This addition is designed to expand access for those who can’t visit Food Bank locations during the day. This new evening service will occur in addition to the current evening service at Lacey Food Pantry on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
The hours for Wednesday evening services will also be changing to better accommodate clients, based on a survey conducted by the Food Bank. Wednesday evening services will now run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Previously, the Wednesday evening service ran from 4 to 6 pm.
“We are thrilled to expand our hours in Lacey to better serve our community,” said executive director John Ficker. “By offering evening pantry hours, we’re removing barriers to access and ensuring more of our neighbors can receive nutritious food in a way that fits their schedules.”
A selection of produce will also once again be available some Saturdays, as the Food Bank Farm Stand at the Lacey Food Pantry will be opening for the season on Saturday, July 25.
This season, the Farm Stand will be open on Saturday, July 25, August 8 and 29, September 12 and 26, and October 10 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and October 24, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Farm Stand features a selection of locally grown fruits and vegetables, set up inside the Lacey Pantry space.
The Lacey Food Pantry is open for regular service Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 am to 2 pm, and the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 5 to 6:30 pm.
