You probably saw the recent article about the new, elevated office space for Eye Love Olympia located at 409 Custer Way SE in Tumwater. Along with the new space, featuring advanced technology, Dr. Sam Hamblet welcomes Tumwater local Dr. Rylee Donovan to the Eye Love Olympia family.

“Eye Love has grown beyond my wildest dreams, and I’m proud to say that we have become highly sought after for appointments!” shares Hamblet on why she added another doctor to the team. “That being said, we were booked out much too far, and we need to serve patients when they need and want an exam.”

Meet Optometrist Dr. Rylee Donovan at Eye Love Olympia

A graduate of Black Hills High School, Donovan has known about Eye Love Olympia for a while because she was a patient herself! She also worked there for a year between college and optometry school.

“Watching her care, attention and savvy in patient care, it was a no-brainer that I wanted her as a part of the Eye Love doctor team,” shares Hamblet. “She is kind, genuine, cares deeply for people and is so impressively smart that truly we are lucky to have snagged her!”

The feeling is mutual. A Tumwater native, she chose to return after college because of her family and because of Eye Love Olympia. “Working here has been a long-standing goal of mine, even before beginning optometry school,” she adds.

Donovan loves caring for her patients. “I love being able to make patients feel heard, comfortable, and cared for while helping improve their vision and quality of life,” she says. “I’m most looking forward to building relationships with new patients and helping make a lasting impact on the community I serve.”

When not working, she continues to serve the community in other ways. She is active with Capital Christian Center, volunteering at outreach events like Solid Rock Ranch and Thanksgiving food drives.

When she is not working or volunteering, she and her husband like to hike and explore new food spots. She also has a thing for houseplants!

New Doctor at Eye Love Olympia Means Less Waiting for Appointments

An additional doctor was all about giving the best care to patients, without making them wait too long for an appointment. “Dr. Donovan brings fresh eyes and up-and-coming treatment options to the practice,” shares Hamblet. “Being the most recent grad on staff, she brings with her the most progressive mindset when it comes to recent research.”

It also allows Hamblet to narrow her focus to her passion, which is dry eye diagnosis and treatment. “Dr. Donovan joining us ensures patients have full access to Eye Love Olympia on their schedule rather than waiting around for an opening in my schedule,” Hamblet explains. “She has known our practice from multiple different viewpoints, so she seamlessly fits into the Eye Love team from minute one!”

Meet the Eye Love Olympia team and let them help you see the world better. They are accepting new patients and can’t wait to meet you! “We love what we do: serving the patient and styling them with the most custom fit glasses, so we want to continue to share that love with our community!” shares Hamblet. “New patients, as well as existing, will be thrilled to see that they can get the most thorough and cutting-edge eye exam experience even sooner than they thought! We have online scheduling as well as good ole’ phones that are ready to schedule you and your family anytime!”

You can schedule your appointment on the Eye Love Olympia website or call 360.228.2733.
