For many Pacific Northwesterners, summer means golfing on gorgeous courses while relaxing and visiting with fellow players. At the Mike Tice Foundation Celebrity Golf Fundraiser, even more is offered. Several locals will get a chance to mingle with a star-studded group of celebrity athletes and coaches July 12-13, 2026, all while playing golf to raise money for youth programs, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County (BGCTC). The two-day all-star fundraiser features a VIP dinner auction and golf scramble.
“I am feeling really good about it,” says former Seattle Seahawks player and NFL coach Tice of the robust response by 34 celebrity attendees and 45 local sponsors to his foundation’s invitation to participate in the event.
“It’s a unique opportunity to be able to participate in an event that has such a great impact on local communities,” adds Andrew Barkis of Hometown Property Management in Lacey, one of the area businesses supporting the 6th annual fundraiser.
Philanthropic Two-Day Event is ‘Golf With a Purpose’ to Strengthen Local Youth Programs
The foundation describes the two-days as “golf with a purpose” where “legends, leaders and community icons come together for a weekend on the Kitsap Peninsula that blends premier championship golf with profound local impact.”
The VIP dinner auction and networking reception is on July 12, 2026, at the waterfront Clearwater Casino Resort in Suquamish along the shores of Agate Passage. Every dinner package guarantees that each table is seated with a celebrity guest. Attendees do not have to golf to participate in the dinner auction, which still has a few spots available for reservations.
The 18-hole golf scramble is July 13, 2026, at the White Horse Golf Club in Kingston. The course is nestled among old growth fir, pine and cedar trees. A celebrity guest golfer is paired with each foursome to complete a five-player team. The golf tournament is sold out for 2026, although Tice says a couple of sponsorship opportunities are still open.
In Thurston County, fundraiser donations will be used for scholarships for youth facing housing difficulties so they can participate in BGCTC programs. In Mason and Kitsap counties, the event raises funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound.

“At one point you kind of pinch yourself,” says Barkis of the opportunity to mingle with the headliner athletes and coaches who are turning out to help local causes. “You get to know them on a personal level and see how much they care. And Coach Tice is number one in that. They are real people who want to do good.”

Area businesses, and corporate and community leaders, are also championing the two-day event.
