In 2025, despite ongoing challenges facing healthcare nationwide, the Providence family of organizations remained steadfast in its Mission of caring for communities with compassion and purpose. Last year, Providence Swedish contributed a total of $534.6 million in community benefit programs to help expand access to care, strengthen community health and respond to needs of residents across the Puget Sound.
Care by the numbers
In 2025, Providence Swedish supported:
- $352 million in unpaid costs of Medicaid and other means-tested government programs
- $94.9 million in free and discounted care for the uninsured and underinsured
- $56.1 million for health professions, education and research
- $21.8 million for subsidized health services
- $9.8 million for community health improvement and strategic partnerships
