Lacey Water Quality Continues to Meet State and Federal Standards

Submitted by City of Lacey

The City of Lacey (City) 2026 Water Quality Report (Report) is now available online in six languages: English, Korean, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese, and Tagalog. Printed copies are available in select Lacey locations. The Report confirms the City continues to meet or exceed water quality standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Health.

In addition to drinking water information, the Report includes articles on the mandatory summer watering schedule, backflow prevention, landscaping, rebates, and other topics.

“I am pleased Lacey’s drinking water met or exceeded all regulations and mandates, once again,” said Lacey Mayor Andy Ryder. “City Public Works Water Utility staff work hard to deliver a safe and reliable

source of drinking water to our community.”

Background

The Report is based on tests the City conducts for arsenic, lead, nitrate, bacteria, and 30 other contaminants. The Report shows the City continues to meet or exceed the water quality standards set by the

Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Health.

The City’s monthly, comprehensive water testing program ensures Lacey’s water is safe to drink. Should Lacey’s water ever exceed safe contaminant levels, the City must report them.
