Join us as we honor cancer survivors, caregivers and family members. If you know a cancer survivor, caregiver or family member who might benefit from a day of honor, have them sign up for the Providence Swedish Cancer Institute Cancer Survivor Celebration, set for Saturday, May 30, 2026, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Saint Martin’s University Worthington Conference Center.

You do not have to be a Providence Swedish patient to attend. To register, visit the Providence website. For questions or to register by phone, please call 360.412.8951. The event is free, but registration is required.
“This celebration is one of the most meaningful events we host each year,” said Ryan Moore, South Puget Sound Senior Director of Oncology Services. “It has been a powerful space for survivors, caregivers and loved ones to come together—to reflect, to learn and to be in community. We’re honored to welcome our attendees back for a day centered on connection and shared strength.”
The celebration will include an inspiring and dynamic keynote speaker, physician and patient panels, and informative sessions about how to best care for yourself after a cancer diagnosis.
The keynote speaker for 2026 is Wendy Hammers, a veteran actor and stand-up comic with 40 years of experience on stage, screen and television. Her credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David and a featured appearance on Oprah. She has also toured nationally for three decades as a stand-up comedian. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at 54, Wendy became a passionate advocate for living fully – now thriving nine-plus years later and bringing hard-won perspective, humor and heart to audiences everywhere.
As the Providence Swedish Cancer Institute Cancer Survivor Celebration returns for its 12th year, it offers a meaningful opportunity to come together in recognition, reflection and hope. From inspiring stories to practical support and shared connection, the day is designed to uplift all who have been touched by cancer. Those interested are encouraged to register and join this special celebration of strength, resilience and community.
