Melanie Bakala, State Farm Insurance agent, is hosting two free Mother’s Day photo shoots, so you can create a lasting memory with your family! Photos will be taken by a professional photographer, and you will receive digital prints. There will be a craft activity for kids to create their own frame for mom. The Evergreen Valley Lavender Farm

Spend a day at the beautiful Evergreen Valley Lavender Farm with mom, as they open their gift shop especially for Mother’s Day. Or, go without her and buy her something special as a gift for Mother’s Day. Either way, you are sure to have a good time smelling all the delightful lavender products.
It’s also opening day for the season at the Lavender Farm, so there will be vendors and a plant sale too!

Head to this spring market to celebrate all things mom a week early! There will be mom-owned businesses, kids’ activities, mermaids, a DJ, shopping and more! Head to The Carpenter’s House and celebrate mom with an art-filled day of fun! There will be a lunch with an artist talk (Kim Saltiel). Then, a special opportunity to paint with an artist will let mom get her hands on a paint brush to create a finished watercolor!

6th Annual Mother’s Day 5K

Do you and your mom enjoy a good run? Why not sign up for the Mother’s Day 5K in Olympia? Run through the scenic Olympia waterfront while enjoying mom’s company! There is a free one-mile kids run and it’s stroller friendly! They will have a gun start, chip timing and awards for top male and female finishers by age group. Sign up online.
