Submitted by City of Lacey

The City of Lacey (City) is recruiting for one unexpired term on the Historical Commission. The term expires on September 13, 2027. Applicants must reside within the Lacey City Limits or Urban Growth Area.

The Lacey Historical Commission provides leadership in raising awareness of Lacey’s history and preservation of local historic resources. The Commission guides the creation of public education and interpretive programs, encourages preservation of items and properties of historical significance, and reviews nominations to the Lacey Register of Historic Places.

To help reduce barriers to participation in government and increase representation, the City’s Advisory Board members are eligible for a $50 stipend per meeting, up to $500 per year. This aims to offset expenses such as childcare coverage during meetings, transportation to and from meetings, internet access to meetings, and other direct financial impacts.

How to Apply

To apply, submit an application online. The first review of applications will take place within 30 days of this notice.

If you have questions, please contact the City Clerk’s office at 360.491.3214 or CityClerk@CityofLacey.org.
