Easter is early this year: April 5! So, now is the time to make plans on which Easter egg hunts near Olympia you want to attend! These family-friendly activities are full of fun for everyone. This year, there are Easter egg hunts for kids, teens, adults and dogs! Find the list of 2026 Easter egg hunts in Thurston County below. And bonus, most of them are free!

Connolly’s Crew is raising money for Relay for Life with their annual Egg My House event! If you want the Easter egg hunt to come to you, this is your event! Orders are due March 27, 2026. They will fill plastic eggs and deliver them to your yard the night before Easter, April 4. They can also drop off bags of candy for Easter basket filling! March 21, 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
First United Methodist Church of Olympia
1224 Legion Way, Olympia

Like a trunk-or-treat, your kids can bunny hop from car to car for Easter treats at this fun event! The theme for this year is the 1950s. They will also have Easter-themed games, food trucks, local nonprofit booths and more. Hosted by the First United Methodist Church of Olympia.

Cochrane Park

This fun night Easter egg hunt is for teenagers! Kids 13-17 can bring a flashlight and hunt for eggs filled with prizes and surprises. Find the golden tickets for special prizes – this is not your average easter egg hunt! Don’t forget the glow sticks! Put on by the City of Yelm Parks and Recreation. Get your tickets online.

March 28, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Stewart’s Arena & Stables

Free

Starting at 1 p.m. during the Easter Festival, there will be blow gun/helicopter egg drops for four different age groups, including an Easter egg hunt for children with special needs. Put on by the American Legion Auxiliary.

The Outpost Church

The Outpost Church will have over 30,000 plastic eggs for kids of all ages to find and plenty of candy! Hunts will be divided by age groups and will start on time, so they suggest you arrive early! The age groups are as follows:

11 a.m. – Ages 0-3 Hunt
11:15 a.m. – Ages 4-6 Hunt
11:30 a.m. – Ages 7-11 Hunt

March 29, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Simpson Railroad

Hop aboard the Easter Bunny Special for a fun train ride that includes an Easter egg hunt! Enjoy hot chocolate, goodie bags and photos with the Easter Bunny. Get your tickets at the Simpson Railroad website.

Just because you are an adult, doesn’t mean you have to miss out on Easter egg hunting! Put on by the City of Yelm Parks and Recreation, this nighttime egg hunt is for you! Adults 21-and-over are invited to bring their flashlights and be ready for an adventure! Prizes awarded at 8:30 p.m. Get your tickets online.

Yelm Dog Park

Want to do an Easter egg hunt with your dog? Head to the Yelm Dog Park on March 29! They just ask that you take the prize and leave the plastic egg for another year. Hunts will happen in both the small and large dog areas. Put on by the City of Yelm Parks and Recreation.

Forza Coffee Company is holding its Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza on Easter this year. This free event includes egg hunts for the kids (bring your baskets!), kids’ activities and more. Parents will appreciate the handcrafted drinks and pastries, with 10% off your drink order when you like their Facebook page and check in. The following are their age groups:

11 a.m. – 0 months–3 years
11:30 a.m. – 4–6 years
12 p.m. –  7–10 years
12:30 p.m. – 11–12+ years
1 p.m. – Anyone left & late comers

The City of Tumwater’s Easter Egg Dash will have four hunts for kids up to the age of 11! There will over 20,000 eggs for kids to find, full of candy, toys and prize coupons. A coffee truck will be on hand to keep parents caffeinated. The following are their age groups:

11 a.m. – Youth under 11 with intellectual and developmental disabilities
11: 15  – Ages 4 and under
11: 30 a.m. – Ages 5-7
11:45 a.m. – Ages 8-11
