The Washington Center and Ballet Northwest are thrilled to announce the return of Olympia Dance Festival on February 28, 2026, at 7 p.m. The 2026 Olympia Dance Festival features eighteen dance companies – a record number of participants for the festival!

Created in 2010, this annual festival started small with just a few groups and has grown into a competitive juried application process and performance that regularly sells out. Over 200 dancers from eighteen groups from throughout the region will participate this year.  The festival features six-minute (or less) pieces showcasing an incredible variety of dance genres.

Washington Center Executive Director Jill Barnes shares, “There’s something truly special about experiencing so many different styles of dance in one day. The Olympia Dance Festival reminds us just how limitless creativity can be.” The Olympia Dance Festival features dance companies from throughout the Pacific Northwest region performing ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, ballroom, belly dance, Irish dance, Chinese dance, Flamenco and more!
