Faith Lutheran Christian School, part of Faith Lutheran Ministries, is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual Thanksgiving food drive, which benefited 14 local families in need of extra support during this season. Over the past several weeks, Faith Lutheran Ministries rallied its students, congregation, and the broader community to collect food donations and essentials, ensuring every family received the resources they need to celebrate a joyful and nourishing holiday.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters, each family received a carefully packed box filled with all the ingredients required for a traditional Thanksgiving meal. In addition, each family was given an $80 gift card, which empowered families to purchase any supplementary groceries they needed. This thoughtful approach ensured families had both the staples and the flexibility to create a meal that met their individual needs.
Central to this effort was the enthusiastic participation of Faith Lutheran’s third grade students, who, under the guidance of Mrs. Shelby Williams, sorted the donated items and packed each box with care and attention. Their participation and compassion is a testament to the spirit of service that Faith Lutheran Christian School strives to instill in all its students.
“We are so grateful for the servant hearts of our students and the incredible generosity of our community,” said Mrs. Ann Ashe, Faith Lutheran Christian School Principal. “This project not only provided tangible support to families in need, but also taught our students the importance of compassion, teamwork, and giving back.”
