While we don’t often have a winter wonderland in the Pacific Northwest, Lacey brings the magic of an old-world Christmas to Huntamer Park each year. Sparkling lights, live music, and activities, transport visitors into a fantasy land of holiday cheer. Priceless memories are made here! Don’t miss the free Lacey Holiday Lights event tonight, December 1, 2025, from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
“There is truly something for everybody at this event!” shares Jeanette Sieler, Lacey Parks, Culture & Recreation’s recreation supervisor. “It’s such a great way to kick off the holiday season with lights and festive music!”

Popular Santa Photos, Christmas Tree Lighting and New Fun in Store for Lacey Holiday Lights
The best thing about Lacey Holiday Lights is the entire community coming together with all your holiday favorites. This year, returning classics and new activities make for an unforgettable evening.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on stage to hear your child’s wishes and so you can get that priceless Santa photo. These photos are free, just bring your phone or camera and the Lacey staff is happy to snap a pic so the whole family can be in it!
Be sure to watch the River Ridge High School marching band and the Timberline High School dance team perform on stage.
And, of course, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m., when the candy cane switch will be flipped to light up the night with festive colors!
New this year that both kids and adults will love, is the Animals of Christmas petting zoo! Enjoy donkeys, sheep and other critters.
Then check out the community booths, all lit up for the holidays! Local companies and organizations pull out all the stops to decorate their booth, and many will have fun, free activities for families to enjoy together.
When you get hungry, there will be plenty of vendors to satisfy those rumblings! You’ll find all your fair favorites here – from burgers and hot dogs to snow cones and funnel cakes! Plus, Mexican fare, ice cream, kettle corn and, of course, fresh-baked goods. When you need to warm up, there will be coffee and hot chocolate too!
“Kids will enjoy seeing Santa and the fun activities and everyone can enjoy the creativity of your neighbors and local businesses as they deck out their vehicles,” shares Sieler. “Grab a cup of cocoa and a snack and enjoy! It’s also a great time to snap a holiday picture with all the lights!”

Lighted Vehicles Brighten up the Cold Night at Lacey Holiday Lights – Vote for your Favorite!
Speaking of lighted vehicles, they are a highlight of the Lacey Holiday Lights! Be sure to spend time looking at each of the vehicles: Local community members have worked hard on them for you to enjoy! And, you can vote for your favorite for the People’s Choice Winner!
“Winner of last year’s Brightest Display, Original House of Donuts will be returning to defend their title, along with lots of other lighted vehicles!” says Sieler. “We invite everyone to vote for the People’s Choice Vehicle. Look for QR codes on the vehicles and around the event to vote for your favorite.”
