FC Olympia Artesians has opened registration for club-wide tryouts for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Regional Athletic Complex, covering USL League Two (men), USL W League (women), and the Evergreen Premier League (men and women). This will be the only time players can try out for the 2026 path to pro soccer teams. To register visit the FC Olympia website.

FC Olympia has also announced Youth Soccer programs for the winter, which include a pro soccer player-led girls-only soccer clinic December 6 and 13 at Olympia High School.  Pro soccer star Mariah Lee will be in Olympia, leading the all-female coaching staff for the Olympia, WA soccer community event. Youth Friday nights are back for both boys, girls and goalkeeper academies of FC Olympia.  Registration for December through January are available at the FC Olympia website and held at Capital High School in Olympia, WA.

Who Is Leading the USL Soccer Programs:

  • USL League Two Head Coach — Seyti Sidibay
    Sidibay returns to helm the USL2 side after being appointed ahead of the 2025 season. Sidibay has worked with the Sounders Futures and is a current ECNL level coach at Washington Premier. He holds a USSF “A” License. Sidibay held his own in his first year leading in 80% of matches going into the final 10 minutes of games and the team scoring the second most goals on the west coast, a single-season team record.
  • USL W League Head Coach – Seth Spidahl
    Spidahl joins FC Olympia while CEO and Director of ECNL at Washington Premier.  He has also been the women’s head coach at Pacific Lutheran University for over a decade.  He had a long stint as an assistant coach of the men’s soccer program at the University of Washington.  Spidahl also serves as Commissioner of RCL soccer in the Washington State Youth Soccer Association.
  • Assistant USL Men’s Coach — Jay Smith
    Smith, who guided the inaugural USL2 campaign in 2022 as head coach, is set to return in 2026. Smith notably has coached at local high level youth clubs but also helmed the Shelton HS Varsity program before. Smith returns to the USL2 clubhouse as an assistant coach with much experience at this level. Smith has left his post in ownership to pursue coaching full time.
  • Assistant USL Women’s Coach – Rachel Ross
    Rachel Ross returns to the Artesians and is in her fourth year of coaching in the USL W League ranks.  Ross was a standout player for PLU and has coached in ECNL soccer for Washington Premier as well as Gig Harbor High School Varsity.  Ross helmed the first ever women’s outdoor program in 2022.
  • EPLWA (Evergreen Premier League) Head Coach — Trevor Fetbrandt
    Fetbrandt returns to lead the Artesians’ EPLWA program; having finished mid-table for the 2025 campaign in his first year. Fetbrandt has a colorful high school coaching history leading Tenino High School programs to districts and state for both girls and boys soccer.

Annual Soccer Gala Fundraiser

Get ready to laugh for a great cause! The Oly Soccer Foundation and FC Olympia Artesians are thrilled to announce “Comedy for Soccer” a Valentine’s-weekend gala fundraiser celebrating community, connection, and the love of the game. The event will take place Friday, February 13, 2026, at the historic Olympia Ballroom in downtown Olympia, Washington.

The evening will feature headliner Sam Miller, Olympia’s own nationally recognized comedian known for his hilarious storytelling and heartwarming local pride. Guests can look forward to a full night of stand-up comedy, a catered dinner, access to tasty drinks, and plenty of festive surprises in a lively, Valentine’s-themed atmosphere. Tickets are available at the FC Olympia website and the fundraising ticketing platform.

With its historic charm, elegant atmosphere, and prime downtown location, the Olympia Ballroom provides the perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind event—combining entertainment, philanthropy, and hometown pride just in time for Valentine’s weekend.

The standup comedy night will also feature special guest Lynette Manning who is set to open before headlining comedian Sam Miller. VIP Tables are offered for intimate stage viewing and regular single ticket options available with each guest being served dinner and enjoying a comedy show.
