The River Ridge High School girls volleyball team finished its 2025-26 season and has goals for the team to keep improving as the year ends. The River Ridge Hawks (1-17, 1-15 PSL) recently completed their season with “Senior Night” against Peninsula on November 4, 2025.
Head coach Janay Creamer has goals and plans to continue to grow the program and was encouraged by some of the growth seen in individual players. “One of our themes this year was that we were trying to learn to adjust and find ways where we could excel beyond a single position,” stated Creamer. “We are a young program with some players that are growing in their skills, but it has been great for each player to grow in individual skills and some of the athletes have adjusted by finding where they fit on the court and what different positions they enjoy competing at.”
River Ridge this season had a team heavy with sophomores and was relatively young. Senior captains Destiny Robinson (Middle), Grey Durham (DS/Outside) and Maddy Gault (O/M) brought core leadership and energy to the program.
“I’ve been coaching the senior captains for three years, and it has been great to build those relationships with Destiny, Grey and Maddy,” Creamer mentioned. “They brought great energy on the court but, just as important, I was proud that the seniors showed responsibility as student athletes and led our team in so many areas of leadership off the court.”
The program states it is continuing to focus on rebuilding and creating an environment that focuses on learning and improving skills. “I’m honored to have some amazing coaches, and we are continuing to try to build a strong program and grow fantastic athletes on and off the court.”
