Regenerative Therapy with Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) Improves Patient’s Pelvic Health and Back Pain Sciatica

Katy L. says she began experiencing back pain after a cesarean section in 2015 impacted her pelvic floor. With newborn twins, she could not do a full physical therapy regimen immediately to address the pelvic floor issue that activated her back pain. She nevertheless tried to remain active, pushing through the pain. However, eventually she developed back pain from sciatica: irritation, inflammation, pinching or compression affects the nerves that run down the lower back and legs. By 2025, she was in extreme back pain and had difficulty even sitting. “I couldn’t drive my kids to school without tears,” she says.

An MRI showed she also had bulged discs. Following a medical referral to Penrose Physical Therapy, she began receiving treatment to address her worsening pain and strengthen her pelvic floor. The multi-approach treatment included massage and dry needling to reduce pain. The key to her recovery was the EMTT sessions, which use high-energy magnetic fields applied non-invasively to stimulate healing in tissues and dramatically reduce inflammation. “I strongly feel the EMTT is eventually what got rid of my pain,” Katy says. “It worked.” She says her pain level went from an eight or nine to a zero. She continues to work with Dr. Jennifer Penrose’s team on exercises to strengthen her pelvic floor.
