Finding the right educational fit for your child can feel overwhelming, but the Alternative School Fair at NOVA Middle School makes the process easier and more inspiring. On Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., families from across Thurston County are invited to meet representatives from local schools, preschools, and youth programs, all under one roof.
Hosted in NOVA’s Trow Auditorium, this annual event connects Olympia-area families with a wide range of educational opportunities, from early learning programs to high schools with specialized focuses.
The Alternative School Fair is free and open to the public, with no registration required for attendees. Families are encouraged to drop in anytime during the event to chat with educators, gather information, and discover options that align with their child’s learning style and interests. Visitors can find NOVA’s parking lot off Wilson Avenue, with the main entrance clearly marked for convenience.
Schools, preschools, and youth-focused organizations are invited to participate as exhibitors. Each participant will receive booth space to share marketing materials, meet prospective families, and highlight what makes their school or service special. To secure a spot, interested programs should complete the registration form by Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Whether you’re exploring new options for the upcoming school year or simply curious about Olympia’s educational landscape, the Alternative School Fair at NOVA is the perfect opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate the variety of learning environments that make our community thrive.
