Do you love Halloween? So do these Thurston County residents who have decked out their homes in all their spooky glory! From pirates and witches, to more skeletons than you can count – plus a dragon or two – these houses decorated for Halloween near Olympia and throughout Thurston County are a must-see! They are great for viewing during the day, but are best at night, with lights and effects. Grab that pumpkin boba or spice latte and visit these Halloween homes.

2747 Pacific Avenue SE #A5, Olympia

The Perfect Cup Espresso is one place you can stop for a drink before checking out homes. They are decked out for the season with giant skeletons and cobwebs.  

Near the Fir Street SE intersection, past the Church and park, is the “Halloween House.” This house gets better every year! Two notable new additions are the large dragons standing guard at the gate. There is so much to see at this house that driving by during the day is great, but it’s also all lit up at night. They have a guestbook for you to sign, and they take donations for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Check out the neon cobwebs, giant spider and a skeleton guarding his treasure at this fun house!

Near the intersection of Fredrick Street and Union Street, you will see a couple of houses with fun decorations, including witches around a cauldron and Zero from “Nightmare Before Christmas.”

This Halloween house in Olympia is easy to spot! The Sleepy Hollow sign, a wicked headless horseman rearing toward a covered bridge – It’s quite a scene. Stop and get out to check out their decorations, just be respectful and stay on the sidewalk.

If you like skeletons, be sure to swing by 8607 Sweetbrier Loop SE. This Halloween house in Olympia is decked out with giant skeletons, dog skeletons, grim reapers and more!

Also, be sure to check out the house across the street, 8549 Sweetbrier, they have a colorful and eclectic mix of creepy clowns, zombies and more!

2214 Nut Tree Loop SE

It’s best to view this house on Halloween night from dusk to about 9 p.m., when all their animatronics will be out. They have over 6,000 lights, skeletons a seven-foot arch and a cemetery along with the animatronics.

Right before the cul-de-sac, this house will be on your right. If you like Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean,” don’t miss this house. They have pirate skeletons in boats, hanging from the trees in cages, a cannon and more! They even have a skeleton dog with the infamous keys in its mouth. If you go at night on the weekends and Halloween, they have fog, lightning and music.

On the way, keep your eye out for a couple other houses with decorations on Barklay Drive including a graveyard scene.

Near the intersection of Elm Court and Cedar Court, you will find a few houses with some cool decorations, including one on the corner with a giant green hand on the roof, and Oogie Boogie and Sally from “Nightmare Before Christmas” in the front yard.  

From there, continue on, because at 4319 Cedar Court SE is a full-on Halloween house! Called “The Deadly End,” their display is amazing to look at during the day, but spooktacular at night. Be sure to get out and check out all the details! Lights are on Sunday – Thursday from dusk to 8:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from dusk to 10 p.m. On Halloween, the lights are on 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. They are accepting donations for the May Day Foundation this year.

In the Silverhawk Neighborhood, you find a house with a skeleton driving a car, a witch, skeletons and more!

A bit further in the Silverhawk Neighborhood is an incredible display on Nuthatch Court, just drive to the cul-de-sac and you can’t miss it! A giant pirate ship, a saloon, a haunted house and more!

Don’t miss this house on Bethel Street, named “A Thing of Nightmares” it will definitely give you chills with large spiders, creepy zombies, a three headed dog and more!

On the corner of North and Lorne is a house covered in Halloween blow-ups! It’s got iconic characters from your favorite spooky movies and lots of whimsy, like a skeletal pegasus and a unicorn arch!

You won’t want to miss this house at the top of the hill near Gull Harbor Road. They have 104 Halloween inflatables and other decorations, making it a truly amazing and fun scene to check out, especially at night.

Find creepy scarecrows and a ghoulish giant orange skeleton with a pumpkin head at this fun house near the intersection of Ragless Street N and Garfield Avenue.
