The Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County (DRC) is offering a new, free video training course – “Conflict SMART.” Composed of seven 5-minute video lessons with accompanying worksheets, the course is designed to provide practical tools for navigating disagreements and building skills that can help transform conflict into collaboration.

The month of October has been proclaimed as Community Conflict Resolution Month by Gov. Bob Ferguson. This video course, produced by local DRC volunteer Mike Fraidenburg, is part of awareness-raising and educational efforts taking place in October, in alignment with the DRC’s vision of “a South Sound community that has and uses healthy and respectful conflict resolution skills.”
The Dispute Resolution Center is a non-profit organization serving residents of Thurston and south Mason Counties through a wide range of resources to prevent and resolve conflict, and improve communication. Services include mediation, conflict coaching, training, group facilitation and youth services.
