Seasonally operated campgrounds in Olympic National Forest have begun closing for the 2025 summer season. Visitors to the forest are reminded to “know before you go” and have a plan for where to stay overnight.
Seasonal campground closure dates are as follows:
Hood Canal Area Campgrounds:
- Dungeness Forks: September 22
- Collins: September 22
- Seal Rock: October 27
- Hamma Hamma: October 27
- Lena Creek: October 27
- Falls View: Closed
- Big Creek: Closed
- Brown Creek: Closed
- Lebar Horse: Closed
Quinault Area Campgrounds:
- Willaby: October 31
- Falls Creek: Closed
- Gatton: Closed
- Campbell Tree Grove: Closed
Forks Area Campgrounds:
- Littleton Horse Camp: December 1
- Klahowya: Closed
All listed campgrounds except for Collins are cashless. First come-first serve campgrounds sites can be paid with credit or debit card at self-service stations on site or through the Recreation.gov mobile app using “Scan & Pay”.
