If you are one of those people that can’t get enough pumpkin spice but also like to support local, this list is for you! You don’t have to go to a big chain to get that pumpkin spice latte or pumpkin baked good, bakeries and coffee shops near Olympia and throughout Thurston County have all the fall favorites you could want! So next time the craving strikes, drink and eat local – September is Eat Local Month after all!

Avenue Espresso is a locally-owned small chain of coffee stands that always have seasonal specials as well as monthly specials. They have a new and improved pumpkin sauce this season, made with real pumpkin. It goes great with their pumpkin pie muffin top baked goods! And don’t forget the pumpkin doodle cookies that are gluten-free and dairy-free from PNW Cookie Co.!

Fog & Fern Coffeehouse is ready for fall with their house-made pumpkin bread and their house-made pumpkin spice syrup – which is gluten-free and vegan! They wanted to make sure everyone could enjoy the season.

Northwest Grind is pulling out all the stops with several fall seasonal drinks. One of them has pumpkin of course! And that is their pumpkin pie cold brew, topped with a mini pumpkin pie! You can get it without caffeine and kid-friendly too.

1005 4th Avenue E, Olympia

The Cup of Swords Tavern is the place to go if you are looking for pumpkin spirits this season! They have Ghostfish Gluten-Free Lunar Harvest Pumpkin Ale, Future Primitive Spiced Pumpkin Ale and Bauman’s Cider Elviras Spicy Pumpkins. They will have OutWest Ciders Pumpkin Spice Cider on tap throughout October as well.

 4018 Pacific Ave SE suite a, Lacey

Sharetea, a bubble tea place in Lacey, has two seasonal pumpkin boba drinks! Try the tea-based Pumpkin Phantom or the coffee-based Jack-O-Brew. The team members added cute little ghouls to the cup of the Pumpkin Phantom as a nice personal touch!

2615 Capital Mall Dr SW Ste A-3b, Olympia

Happy Lemon, a bubble tea shop in Olympia, also has pumpkin drinks for the season, through November 13. They have the Autumn Cloud Pumpkin Spice with pumpkin spice salted cheese foam and the Autumn Harvest Pumpkin Spice with boba and whipped cream. I was able to get the latter with dairy-free milk and no whip for those with allergies.

The Park Side Cafe has rolled out its fall menu featuring eight cozy drinks! For pumpkin lovers, you can try their pumpkin cream cold brew with vanilla and cinnamon or their pumpkin spice latte with house-made pumpkin sauce. These drinks are vegan!

5313 Littlerock Road Suite 103, Tumwater

You can indulge in the season’s flavors with healthy options at Wild Nectar. This year they are featuring a pumpkin chia seed pudding. And, if you want to pair it with a drink, they skipped the pumpkin spice and instead have a caramel apple crunch smoothie with nondairy caramel!

108 22nd Avenue SW, Olympia

If you are looking for a pumpkin scone, look no further than the Olympia Baking Company. They do have it year-round, but now is the time to enjoy it while watching the leaves turn, wrapped in your favorite sweater. Depending on what the owner and baker Willis has whipped up, they have plain pumpkin, pumpkin chocolate chip and pumpkin cinnamon strudel. Always gluten-free, they have regular dairy and vegan scones. With our without frosting – I definitely recommend the frosting!
