The weather is telling us that fall is coming and that means pumpkins! If you’re like me, you might have already snuck out a glass pumpkin or two because you just can’t wait for the spooky season! Well, the local pumpkin patches will be open before you know it: check out their opening dates for the 2025 Halloween season below! Here are the 2025 pumpkin patches and corn mazes in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

September 13, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

If you are looking for gifting pumpkins or indoor decorations that will last through Thanksgiving, head to the NW Glass Pumpkin Patchv, once again returning to Olympia for 2025! For one day only, snap up the unique glass pumpkins made by Pacific Northwest artists.

September 20 – November 1
Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last ticket sold at 5 p.m.)
Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. (last ticket sold at 10 p.m.)

The Rutledge Family Farm is gearing up for a 2025 pumpkin patch and corn maze season with a full calendar! Find family fun at this pumpkin patch in Olympia seven days a week! They have general admission tickets that get you into a lot of the fun, as well as special add-on activities, some of which are only the weekends. Whether you want to enjoy their not-scary corn maze or have a fright at the haunted maze, shoot a corn cannon, try your luck at a pumpkin scavenger hunt or enjoy some paintball – you will find it all at the Rutledge pumpkin patch! Other activities including bubble barn, jump pad, story tail, wagon ride to patch (weekend only), cow train and more.

Of course, when it comes to pumpkins, they have plenty to choose from the classic orange carving pumpkin to specialty pumpkins. They also have pie pumpkins, mini pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks to purchase.

Dogs are allowed on non-retractable leashes. Please pick up after them. Dogs are not allowed in the haunted maze. No entry is required for the pumpkin patch.  Tickets for everything else can be purchased online at the Rutledge Family Farm website.

September 27 – October 26
Fridays: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays – Sundays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Another pumpkin patch in Olympia, the Hunter Family Farm has hay and corn mazes, a tractor ride, kiddie train, jumping pad, kid ATV rides, farm animals and more! Extra ticketed activities include the European super slide and pumpkin slingshot.

When it’s time to choose that perfect pumpkin, they have a large selection! And don’t forget to check their shop with decorations and carving accessories to create the perfect fall scene! If you get hungry, they have snacks available to buy too!

The Schilter Family Farm Fall Festival starts September 27, 2025! This pumpkin patch in Olympia. They have different levels of admission tickets, depending on the activities your family wants to do while at the farm. Enjoy hayrides, pony rides, mazes, zip swings, bounce pillow, apple cannons, a paintball gallery and gem mining! New for 2025 is their farm train.

On the weekends the pumpkin princess will be on hand to take photos. The Schilter Family Farm also has a full menu of good food from burgers to caramel apples, homemade fudge and cider donuts! Seasonal décor is also available to purchase along with plenty of pumpkins! There are many more activities to enjoy, learn about them all the on  Schilter Family Farm website and purchase your tickets in advanced.  Only service animals are allowed on the property.

October 1-31

A staple in Thurston County, Pigman’s Pumpkin Patch is open each October with an assortment of pumpkins. They prefer calls during the season for questions, 360.491.3276. After picking a pumpkin, check out their Farm Stand, open Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

October 11 – 30
Monday- Friday, 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday – Sun day, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

All proceeds at Crossroads Community Covenant’s Pumpkin Patch are donated to the Yelm Dollars for Scholars & Rainier Education Foundation. Admission is free! Find your pumpkin and then enjoy free refreshments, a scavenger hunt, string maze and more! They have a variety of pumpkins, decorative squash and corn stalks.

  • Early in the season will give you the best selection.
  • Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. Mud is almost a certainty later in the season!
  • Be ready for the weather, that could mean sunscreen or an umbrella
  • Bring cash, though some accept cards, it’s good to be prepared.
  • Bring gloves.
  • Put cardboard or plastic garbage bags in your car to keep it clean.
  • Know before you go. Contact the pumpkin patches ahead if you want to know specific things, like dog policies, pumpkin variety availability or ADA accessibility.
