Olympia Federal Savings (OlyFed) is once again a proud sponsor of this year’s Duck Dash, continuing a longstanding tradition of investing in local efforts that make a meaningful difference. “At OlyFed, we believe in reinvesting in the people and organizations that help our communities thrive,” says Shea Wahlstrom, OlyFed Digital Outreach & Communications Coordinator and Lacey Rotary Club member. “Being part of both OlyFed and Rotary, I see firsthand the impact of coming together and investing in our local community and this event is a great example of that.”

Every dollar raised through raffle ticket sales goes directly to local nonprofits, youth programs and international service projects. Thanks to generous community support, Duck Dash continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of countless individuals.

Lacey Rotary Duck Dash Supports Local and Global Causes

“A big part of what makes Duck Dash so special is the incredible effort put in by Lacey Rotarians and student volunteers from the North Thurston Interact Club,” says Nichole Woolsey, incoming Lacey Rotary President and Duck Dash Co-Chair. “With about 30 students helping from setup to teardown, these young leaders are essential to the event’s success. It’s an incredible example of intergenerational service and the power of community coming together for good.”

The real heart of the Duck Dash is the support it provides to local and global causes. In just the 2024–2025 giving year, Lacey Rotary has supported a wide range of impactful organizations, including: Alano Club, STEP Program, FESS, All Kids Win, North Thurston Education Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, Olympia Free Clinic, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Ballet Northwest and more.

The reach extends beyond our borders too, with support for international efforts like Project Amigo, ShelterBox and other global humanitarian programs.

“Our community truly is stronger, healthier and happier because of the work of these organizations,” Woolsey shares. “And they rely on community support to keep making a difference.”

Flock to the 2025 Duck Dash and pay it forward while having some fun. For more information, including addresses of businesses that are selling raffle tickets, visit the Lacey Rotary website.
