Bundle up in your holiday ugly sweaters or Christmas pjs, grab a hot chocolate or peppermint mocha and send an evening driving around Thurston County to see the incredible Christmas light displays our neighbors spend countless hours on each year. You’ll see favorite characters, incredible lighting and lots of festive trimmings. Here is the guide to 2024 Christmas lights in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

Epic Lights
11948 Dream Street SW, Olympia
Open December 1-31

The Epic Lights house is in Olympia this year! They light up the night each year with a synchronized show. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. the house rocks out to current hits and Christmas music and then from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. you can request a song via their website!   lights up the night with their dazzling display. Tune to 107.9 FM on your radio. You can also look for signs that say, “For music, push button or touchless wave.” For more information, visit the Epic Lights website.

1886 Galenta Drive SW, Olympia

This house has an epic display that runs from 5 p.m. until midnight. You can park and walk through the archways, but they remind you to please not block driveways and stay off the grass so you don’t get tangled in the lights.

Candy Cane Lane at the Kelley Ranch
5410 66th Avenue NW, Olympia
Open now through January 1

Candy Cane Lane is open for the 2024 holiday season. This Christmas light display in Olympia will have its lights lit from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily. You are allowed to walk or drive around the circle in order to see everything. Donations are accepted for the Thurston County Food Bank. The drop box should be at the end of the driveway, but if it’s missing they say to just leave the items on the porch.

Wilson Street Winter Wonderland
424 Wilson Street SE, Olympia
Open now until January 1
Sunday 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Monday-Thursday 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Friday-Saturday, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

The Wilson Street Winter Wonderland is back for 2024 and their Christmas light display in Olympia is a don’t miss. They also have The Grinch or Santa there nightly! No charge to walk through and visit the characters.  No pets, no smoking or vaping and they ask that you do not block the neighbor’s driveways when you park. If the weather is really bad, it may be closed for everyone’s safety. Follow the Wilson Street Winter Wonderland Facebook page for updates.

Christmas Island

Head to Christmas Island to see the story of Christmas in gorgeous displays with light and sound! On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays the display is hosted with free hot beverages and treats. Call 360.508.2633 for information or see the Maytown Assemblies of God website.

Santa’s Reindeer
2214 Nut Tree Loop SE, Olympia

Deb and Tom Muller have their display up now! They have over 6,000 lights, 12 reindeer, two light up santasa nd more! The lights are on from dusk until about 10 p.m. and will be up until January 6.

Christmas Comics
1630 26th Avenue NE, Olympia

The Christmas Comics are always a great display! They have painted characters from Disney, Universal, Nickelodeon, Hanna-Barbera and more. Christmas lights are on from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. through December 31.

Oly Lightstravaganza

Oly Lightsravaganza is sadly closed as the owners moved.

2109 Brookside Road SW, Tumwater

The Brookside Road house is lit up again this year thanks to Janine Beaudry with Evergreen State homes. She said there are lots of new additions and animations. You won’t want to miss it!

Palomino Court SE, Tumwater

Palomino Court has some great houses to look at as well!

This house has quite a blow mold collection – look for Santa and his reindeer on a roof!

713 North Street SE, Tumwater

They have a great display full of inflatables and lights. Owners say it’s great for photos and they have plenty of parking!

130 Cherry Lane SE, Tumwater

This house has lots of inflatables and lights. They have an inflatable snowman holding a picture frame so you can snap a pic with old saint Nick! They have dancing lights and a 12-foot Frosty who plays scenes from the movie and much more!

Huntamer Park
618 Woodland Square Loop SE, Lacey

City of Lacey’s Huntamer Park is once again decorated for the holidays. December 2, 2024, is the tree lighting and parked lighted vehicle walkthrough. More information can be found in this ThurstonTalk article.

52nd Ave NE and Marvin, Lacey

There are quite a few dazzling displays on 52nd Avenue this year. From lovely red and green-themed homes, to homes covered in glittering white lights – it’s a great road to add to your list. Look for the blow-up axolotl wearing a Santa hat!
