As someone with dietary restrictions, I know that this time of year can be a bit of a letdown – while everyone is enjoying the delightful flavors of the seasons, I can’t even have a pumpkin spice latte! And now’s the time to think about those Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners – don’t cook! Instead, order your allergy-friendly holiday meal from The Park Side Café, and enjoy all your seasonal favorites again.

Pre-Order Vegan Holiday Dinners To Go at The Park Side Cafe

Why cook and have all that clean up when you can spend time with your family and friends instead? The Park Side Café in Olympia has pre-made holiday dinners to go that take out the stress in holiday dinners. “We will have everything you need for your plant-based and vegan holiday meal, ready to take home and heat to serve,” shares Victoria from The Park Side Café.

Mouthwatering holiday dinner menu items include tofu roast with wild rice stuffing; seitan ham; green bean casserole; garlic mashed potatoes; orange glazed carrots; butternut mac and peas; roasted butternut squash with brussels and pecan; brioche rolls; pumpkin cheesecake; Dutch apple pie; chocolate pecan pie; and seasonal cookies.

While the seitan ham, Dutch apple pie and chocolate pecan pie have gluten, everything is gluten-free – that’s right gluten- and dairy-free pumpkin cheesecake! “There are always lots of options for people with common allergens as well,” shares Victoria. “Most of the menu will be gluten-free, and plenty of soy-free or nut-free options.”

Order now and pick up for Thanksgiving on November 26 and 27, 2024. Christmas pick-up dates are December 23 and 24. The Christmas menu may differ slightly.

Birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations also happen this time of year – why not let The Park Side Café take care of those too? You can order whole pies and cheesecakes anytime! “We can work with you to accommodate most allergies or dietary preferences,” Victoria notes. “Just give us few days’ notice and we can likely get something special ready for you!”

Seasonal, Organic and Plant-Based Menu Favorites at The Park Side Café

You don’t have to wait until November 26 to have delicious fall food, though! The Park Side Café is open every day with farm-to-table fresh, organic, seasonal offerings.

They are open daily for breakfast and lunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Try their breakfast sandwich, the sun-dried tomato aioli gives it a southwest flare and the bread is soft and warm! Other customer favorites include their hand pies, biscuits and gravy, salads and, of course, the desserts. Seriously, their pies are to-die-for… a definite must-try.

Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can indulge in their incredible dinner. Shared plates like roasted rainbow carrots or their current seasonal special featuring sweet potatoes are amazing. My personal favorite – the gluten-free option ravioli. Incredible cashew ricotta, seasonal pesto and fresh arugula over pasta creates the perfect symphony of flavors. Other dinner favorites are the panzanella and jerk burger. But save room for dessert – matcha tiramisu (yes, it’s gluten free!) and chocolate torte are favorites. The seasonal peach cream cake will let you enjoy the last pop of fresh summer fruit with a springy sponge cake.

“Dinner offerings have been a big hit!” shares Victoria. “The response from everyone who’s tried the menu has been amazing. We are still trying to spread the word to get more people to come give it a try.”

Because organic and fresh are important to The Park Side Café, menu items rotate with the seasons. “We just switched into some early fall recipes including our kale quinoa Caesar, Italian bean salad, and our autumn sweet potato salad,” shares Victoria. We also have a new lunch item: the fiesta wrap! It has spiced chickpeas and black beans with a cilantro lime slaw using local peppers, cabbage, and onion. Next month we may have some harvest squash salad, and a protein delight salad using seasonal produce from Wobbly Cart Farm.” These salads are available during October, with new coming in November, so be sure to try them before they are gone!

And of course, it’s pumpkin season! Allergy and diet restrictions will no longer stop you from enjoying that wonderful fall squash thanks to this vegan restaurant in Olympia! “We have our pumpkin muffins, pumpkin apple hand pies, and we make our own pumpkin spice sauce for coffee drinks!” Victoria adds. “We also often have special coffee jelly parfaits with layers of cocoa and coconut whipped cream.” Their drinks include a pumpkin cream cold brew, pecan pie chai tea, and the lumberjack latte with espresso, maple syrup, vanilla and ground cinnamon.

All food items are available for dining in, to-go or delivery. Online ordering with the option for delivery is always available.

Eating is an experience. Don’t let dietary restrictions make you feel left out – during the holidays or any day of the week!
