New Fall/Winter Hours to Start at Olympic National Forest Offices

Due to seasonal changes and staffing shortages the Olympic National Forest will implement the following hours at offices across the peninsula starting the date noted for each location:

Supervisor’s Office, Olympia.

Effective Oct. 10, 2024.

Open Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Quinault Ranger Station, Quinault, Wash.

Effective Nov. 3, 2024.

Open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Forks Ranger Station, Forks, Wash.

Effective Nov. 1, 2024.

Open on the third Tuesday of the month, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(Nov. 19, 2024, Dec. 17, 2024, Jan. 21, 2025, and Feb. 18, 2025)

Quilcene Ranger Station, Quilcene, Wash.

Effective Nov. 1, 2024.

Open on the third Thursday of the month, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

(Nov. 21, 2024 Dec. 19, 2024 Jan. 23, 2025 and Feb. 20, 2025.)

These dates and times are subject to change due to staffing availability and capacity. Unscheduled closures will be announced on the forest’s website and social media pages.

Recreation passes for the forest and other public lands can be purchased online through the forest’s non-profit partner, Discover Your Northwest and in person at vendor locations.

E-passes are also available to purchase electronically at trailheads with service.
