Local consulting firm SCJ Alliance makes two key hires

SCJ Alliance added two new employees to their Lacey office in April: Cristina Haworth and Melissa Oum.

Cristina Haworth, AICP, was hired as the Lacey Planning Manager. Originally from Kitsap County, Cristina has 11 years of experience leading interdisciplinary teams in planning, designing, and delivering projects for private and public sector clients. Her project work includes light rail expansions in Mountlake Terrace, comprehensive plan updates in Lynnwood and SeaTac, and public engagement programs for many Puget Sound communities. She attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate studies and the University of Pennsylvania for her Master of City Planning.

Melissa Oum has joined SCJ as a Senior Accountant. She has worked in a variety of accounting roles, accruing over 19 years of experience, much of it in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry. Melissa attended Texas Tech University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

 A 100% employee-owned firm, SCJ has over 140 employees and specializes in civil engineering, transportation planning and design, environmental and urban planning, landscape architecture, cable-propelled transit, construction management, and public outreach.

 SCJ has earned many awards for project work and for being a great place to work. In addition to the Lacey office, SCJ has offices in Seattle, Fremont, and Gig Harbor, as well as others across Washington, Montana, and Colorado.
