It’s time for the Great Pumpkin to make its appearance! There is tons of fun waiting for your entire family at local Thurston County farms, including corn mazes, wagon rides, slides and more! These local families have spent the year preparing to give you a wonderful fall, so head to one, find your perfect pumpkin and have some cider. Here are the 2022 pumpkin patches and corn mazes in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

The Rutledge Corn Maze and pumpkin patch in Olympia will open up on September 17 for fall fun for the entire family. When it comes to pumpkins, they have many varieties and tons to choose from! They have your typical orange for carving, as well as specialty pumpkins including warty, Cinderella, ghost, baking/pie, and mini! You can get your corn stalks for your porch at the same time. There is no admission fee for the pumpkin patch.

Once you have your pumpkins, it’s time for some fun activities! Check out their famous corn maze, with 12 clues along the way to solve the Farmer Joe mystery, practice calf roping, hit the Spookley Story Trail and more. On weekends they also have train rides, a corn cannon and the kids zip swing. A pumpkin scavenger hunt happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday for just $4, which includes a prize! New this year is their on-of-a-kind paintball gallery! You won’t want to miss it!

Those who like chills and thrills will want to come to their haunted corn maze, that takes place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, as well as Halloween night.

Schilter Family Farm  

September 24 – October 31
Monday–Friday, Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Great ready for some top fun at the Schilter Family Farm this year! They have two pumpkin patches in Olympia for you to explore and search for that perfect pumpkin. You can you-pick from the field, or purchase pumpkins in the farm store. They also have plenty of other produce fresh from their 180-acre Thurston County farm.

Their amazing corn maze is not to be missed. This year’s theme is “Top Fun,” a homage to the popular “Top Gun” movie franchise. Also enjoy wagon rides, animals, trike trek, hay pyramid, zip swings and more. On weekends they also have their kids train ride, apple blasters, paintball and pony rides for separate admission.

Hunter Family Farm

September 30 – October 30
Fridays: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturdays – Sundays 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Hunter Family Farm’s pumpkin patch and other family activities will open September 30. They have a small area where you can purchase pumpkins and visit the farm store with no entry free, but they have so many fun activities it’s best to just get tickets in advance and spend the day! They are open Friday through Sunday during the fall season.

After you’ve picked your pumpkins, your admission gets you access to the farm animals, cornhole, jumbo jumper, two corn mazes, kiddie train and kiddie ATV rides, hay maze with slide, and wagon rides (weekends only). Pigman’s Pumpkin Patch

Musser Farm

October 8-9, 15-16: 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Musser Farm is a pumpkin patch in Olympia that has a whole lot of fun in store two weekends in October. Find the perfect pumpkin, indulge in sweet treats and get some fall flowers for your table. They will food trucks each day to fill you up after all the fun. K-Komida will be there each day, along with Olypops on October 9 and Sweetlee’s Ice Cream on October 16.
