Lacey Veterans Services Hub offers several essential services and assistance to veterans in the area and nationally via remote services. Our facility provides a one-stop shop for the needs of veterans and their families, with programs that focus on helping veterans with housing, finance, and employment. Last year alone, we helped more than 1,000 veterans and their family members with over 10,000 appointments providing essential services in 2021 and are expected to grow those numbers in 2022.

The ability for Lacey Veterans Services Hub to keep up with this demand would not be possible without the help of our alliance with Comcast in Washington. Our partnership with Comcast began in 2017 and expanded in 2021, with Comcast providing free, robust Internet service that helps thousands of veterans take full advantage of the essential services Lacey Veterans Services Hub offers. The support they have given our organization has been invaluable, particularly during the pandemic, making access to high-speed internet even more critical for the community we serve.

According to research by the Army University Press, many American military veterans face challenges with digital equity, especially since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lift Zone at Lacey Veterans Services Hub is helping our veterans access technology integral for career advancement and social connection. Comcast informs me that the company has activated more than 90 Lift Zones throughout Washington for those needing Internet access in local community centers statewide.

The Lacey Veterans Services Hub is a collaborative “one-stop” approach to providing essential Veteran services and has rapidly expanded to include more than 100 partners and providers. The comprehensive range of supportive services assists with VA benefits, housing, employment, financial aid, nutrition, education, healthcare, mental health, and legal aid — all within one unique location. You can learn more about us on the Lacey Veterans Services Hub and to learn more about Lift Zones in Washington, check out the Comcast website.
