Lacey Seeks Civil Service Commission Members

The City of Lacey seeks applicants to fill two vacancies on its Civil Service Commission. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, registered to vote within Thurston County. Appointees will be selected by the Lacey City Manager to serve one of the two open term positions; one term expires on October 1, 2025, and the other term expires on October 1, 2027.

The Civil Service Commission, a three-member board, adopts rules for the regulation of personnel matters and competitive examinations for the Lacey Police Department’s classified employees. It also hears appeals arising from the administration of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations. The Civil Service Commission generally meets on the 1st Monday of February, May, August, and November at 12:15 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE.*
