Lacey City Council Seeks Advisory Boards and Commissions Members

The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for two vacancies on the Planning Commission and one vacancy on the Historical Commission.

The 9-member Lacey Planning Commission develops recommendations for long-range comprehensive planning goals and policies in the City of Lacey and areas outside of the City that may be annexed. The Planning Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, at 5:00 p.m. Planning Commission members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants for these vacancies must reside within the City of Lacey.

The 8-member Lacey Historical Commission provides leadership in historic preservation and develops information concerning the historical significance of the Lacey area. The Historical Commission meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. Historical Commission members serve three-year terms with a two-term limit. Applicants for this vacancy may reside in the City of Lacey or the Lacey Urban Growth Area.
