South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) today announced that Trustee Rozanne Garman was reappointed to its Board of Trustees by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee beginning Oct. 1, 2021, for a term ending Sept. 30, 2026.

Trustee Garman has served on the Board since her appointment in Jan. 2020, and currently serves as Vice Chair.

“In the past 18 months, I’ve witnessed extraordinary efforts by the SPSCC faculty, staff, and students,” said Trustee Garman. She reflected on the college’s transition to virtual instruction, becoming a leading voice and trusted partner in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion facilitation, and offering a county voting center and vaccination clinics.

“All of this would have been remarkable during a normal time, but this took place during the pandemic, which demonstrates the commitment, care, and caliber of the SPSCC community,” said Trustee Garman.

“As a woman of color, I am proud to continue serving as a Trustee and I’d like to thank Gov. Inslee for the reappointment,” she added.

Garman is the President and CEO of RHD Enterprises. She is an executive committee member at Round Table of Thurston County and Thurston County Economic Development Council, and holds additional board positions at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington, Olympia High School Gridiron Backers, and the Washington Center for Women in Business. She is also a former board member at YWCA of Olympia and is involved with the Olympia Ladies Investment Club.
