The City of Lacey invites the public to participate in a virtual open house for the Greg Cuoio Park and Greenways Master Plan on Wednesday, May 12 from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. This event is the first of many opportunities for the public to provide input on what improvements and park amenities the Master Plan should include.

“Public input is vital to the success of the Master Plan process,” states Lacey’s Parks, Culture, and Recreation Director, Jen Burbidge. “The ultimate goal is to create a place for residents and visitors to experience and learn about this pristine area, while preserving the site’s natural amenities and minimizing our footprint on the land. And, we need the community’s help to decide what the Master Plan should include. The site’s natural features will enhance Lacey’s overall park system and represent a truly unique asset for the community.”

How to Participate

Interested parties can register for the online open house at the City of Lacey website.

Project Area

The Master Plan includes the area located between the Crossroads and Hawk’s Prairie neighborhoods in NE Lacey, just north of Interstate 5. It encompasses 537 acres of public open space, including Greg Cuoio Park, Pleasant Glade Park, and Palm Creek Headwaters. The existing parks and greenways are primarily undeveloped and include mature forests, streams and creeks, wetlands, and other important natural features and ecosystems.
