The days are getting longer, the sun is shining and it’s starting to feel like spring! For me, it’s never really official until I am eating a chocolate bunny: then it’s spring. This year, Easter is going to look different, but there is still a lot of fun to be had. Creative local businesses and individuals have thought outside the basket to give your kids a fun holiday. Be sure to check in with each organizer as dates approach in case mandates change. All are following safety protocols and require masks. Here are the 2021 Easter egg hunts in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

Personal Easter Baskets Delivered

Kiah Marie will coordinate to deliver Easter to your door! She is currently taking orders for filled Easter Baskets that will be dropped off at your house just in time for Easter. “Each basket will be slightly different due to supply demand, but overall perfect for the kiddos,” she says. “I am also selling filled eggs for Easter hunts!” Easter baskets are just $15 and deluxe filled eggs are $1 each. She delivers to most areas of Thurston, Lewis and Grays counties. You can contact her via email PnwBunny@outlook.com or 360.688.9005 (call or text) to order.

Normally the Armstrong Racing Foundation puts on a fun egg hunt, including a flashlight egg hunt for teens and adults. While they can’t do their large hunt this year, they got creative and are hosting a scavenger hunt. The hunt will happen rain or shine throughout Mason county on April 3. Proceeds go to support local kids and teens with everyday needs, backpacks and sports costs.

You can sign up as an individual or as a family team. Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, you will pick up your bag at either the Peninsula Credit Union in Befair or the OCCU in Shelton. The bag will have a golden egg, a map, rule, clues and a list of the items you’re hunting for. Kids and Teen’s baskets will be available for pickup at these locations (first 300 kids and 100 teens), and you just might get a chance to have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny! Other locations may have additional crafts and activities for kids as you go on your hunt. Tickets available on the EventBrite website, Peninsula Credit Union in BelFair or Denny’s Auto in Shelton. Follow the Facebook Event page for up-to-date information.
