United Way of Thurston County (UWTC) is administering funds to provide direct assistance to displaced restaurant and bar workers. Successful applicants will receive cash assistance in the form of a prepaid credit card. To qualify for these funds, the applicant must live in Thurston County, and be a bar or restaurant employee who has been displaced from work due to the pandemic. To apply, please have a 2020 paystub, W2 or employment roster, or letter from the employer showing proof that they worked for a bar or restaurant in 2020.

UWTC’s partner, the Community Action Council (CAC) of Lewis, Mason & Thurston Counties, will be administering these funds, and accepts phone calls, and coordinates resources for people who need this emergency assistance. If you are a resident of Thurston County, a displaced restaurant or bar worker, and need help, please call the CAC Monday – Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at (360) 438-1100 or 1-(800) 878-5235.
