Ever wondered how you could do more to help the planet by being active in your own little corner of the community? If you have a passion for reducing, re-using, recycling, or composting, then we want you to join the Thurston County Master Recycler Composter volunteer program!

WSU Thurston County Extension and Thurston County Solid Waste are recruiting Thurston County residents for the 2021 Master Recycler Composter (MRC) training. The training focuses on a wide range of topics. The training will be taught online, via Zoom, by Thurston County Solid Waste educators, WSU Extension staff, and regional experts. It will occur weekly, on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., February 4 through April 1, 2021, with one Saturday in-person session on March 20, contingent on COVID-19 restrictions.

Trainees must have a computer with internet access, an e-mail account, and a Zoom account to participate. Applications will be accepted until January 22.
