The City of Lacey plans to make safety improvements and repairs to the skate park at Rainier Vista Community Park beginning Monday, July 20. During the two-week project, the City will close the area around the skate park and it will be unavailable for use. The rest of the park will remain open to visitors, but must be used responsibly, following Governor Inslee’s Stay Safe Phase 3 plan. To view the temporary park rules, visit the City of Lacey website.

The project includes replacing all skate park platform guards and ramp armor panels. The existing ramps are still in good condition and will not be replaced. However, skate park users will notice an updated look and new color.

Lacey has one of the finest municipal park systems in the state. Rainier Vista Community Park is a 46-acre park including soccer fields, baseball/softball fields, tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, basketball, walkways, picnic facilities, and restrooms.
