Submitted by Washington State Department of Transportation

Travelers in Olympia will soon see a change to the intersection of Henderson Boulevard Southeast and the on-ramp to northbound Interstate 5.

As early as the morning of Wednesday, June 24, Henderson Boulevard Southeast travelers merging onto the ramp will see a new stop sign. The existing right turn is currently controlled as a yield. The left turn leading toward downtown Olympia will remain controlled by a traffic signal.

What’s happening?
Converting the intersection to a stop sign is intended to help reduce the potential for collisions due to sight distance limitations at this intersection.
