Beginning June 26, the Thurston Economic Development Council’s (EDC) Center for Business & Innovation (CB&I) will offer “Financial Mastery” as part of our ScaleUp Training Series.

Do you know if your business is really making money?  Are you always short of cash but your business seems to be going well? Do you want to grow your business, use it to fund your retirement, and attract lenders and investors?  Do you want to build your business to a financially strong and stable enterprise that is your greatest asset? Then Financial Mastery is how you can learn how to do all of this and more.

In Financial Mastery you will gain tools you can use to make better decisions with foresight confidence.  You’ll learn how to understand your financial statements, build a business model and project cash flow.  You will be able to evaluate the profitability of your marketing plan and make adjustments to have the profits you desire.  You’ll learn how to set benchmarks so you can measure your business performance and make adjustments for better results.  As you grow your business good financial management becomes increasingly important to you as an investor and to banks when you need a loan.

Financial Mastery is a 4-week course that includes:

  • Four 3 1/2-hour class sessions on Zoom
  • Valuable interaction and shared learning with other business owners
  • Opportunity for one-on-one business advising

Financial Mastery will teach you how to:

  • Better understand your profit and loss statement and balance sheet
  • Recognize your key financial drivers
  • Plan profits and growth with positive cash flow
  • Find and control hidden cash flows
  • Build financial strength for future value
