Thurston County Superintendents met early this morning and have agreed to a unified approach around school closure. Starting Monday, March 16, schools will close through Friday, April 24, 2020.

School districts around the county are now making this announcement.

After careful consultation with our staff, partners, and peers regarding the health and safety of everyone in our community, the South Sound Reading Foundation is suspending its regular programming effective immediately. This includes our Books for the Break program.

We are, and will continue to, actively reach out to partner sites and other service providers to provide books when and where possible during this time.

Our SSRF office will be closed to non-essential staff starting next Monday as well.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for all that you do!
