The holidays are upon us once again, which means it’s time for The Salvation Army Ring the Bell Realtor Day! Coming up on Friday, December 6, the Thurston County Realtors’ Association (TCRA) will be stationed by storefront kettles in the area to raise money for The Salvation Army, Olympia Corps.
This will be our third time teaming up with ‘The Army,’ and we could not be more excited. During the last two years, our team won for the most money raised in a single day, and we don’t intend to break that streak now. Last year, The Salvation Army managed to raise $18,000 in Thurston County alone, and friends of Rob Rice Homes and Epic Realty helped us to contribute $6,634.08 of that money.
Each year, 10 percent of The Salvation Army’s operating budget (about $200k) comes directly from storefront kettles, and much of that money is poured right back into the community in the form of housing, education and employment resources for those in need. Unfortunately, this year’s holiday season will be shortened by a late Thanksgiving, which means the Kettle Drive will be reduced by a full week. Our goal is to meet or exceed last year’s fundraising in spite of the lost time, and we’ll need your help!
Join Us! Stop by a Salvation Army Kettle
Representatives from Epic Realty & Rob Rice Homes will be stationed outside Cabela’s in Lacey from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.on December 6, 2019. We would love to see as many friends and neighbors as possible in that time. If you can’t make it to Cabela’s but would still like to participate, representatives from the following TCRA-affiliated offices will be stationed at Fred Meyer, Wal-Mart, Safeway, Haggen and Ralph’s locations around town from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the 6th as well:
