Trick-or-Treat! These words delight kids of all ages as they scurry in costume from home to home, collecting goodies. Of course, we don’t all have neighborhoods that are good for trick-or-treating. Thankfully local Thurston County businesses and organizations have several trick-or-treating events in Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater and surrounding areas to make sure Halloween is a fun night for everyone, including adults. Look for teal pumpkins at places noting they have allergen-friendly options. Read on to find the 2019 places to trick-or-treat in Olympia and throughout Thurston County.

This year’s Tumwater United Methodist Trunk or Treat includes a teal twist. “The teal twist is the inclusion of the Teal Pumpkin Project, which is a movement to raise awareness of food allergies and to create a safer, more inclusive Halloween for all trick-or-treaters whether they have food allergies or not,” explains Sandy Ward, Pastor of Tumwater United Methodist Church. “This is an exciting addition to our annual event and one which we, as a church, embrace so all can participate.”

All are invited to attend for fun, games (including a cupcake walk) and treats for all. Come meet veteran Trunk or Treater Buddy the Doxie who will be in costume and loves to greet everyone. For more information, call the church office at 360-786-1416
